Figure "A" Figure "B" Figure "C"
Figure "D" Figure "E" Figure "F" WARNING YOUR SYSTEM COMES WITH A QUICK-DISCONNECT FITTING, BE 100% SURE THAT THE LOCKING COLLAR CLICKS INTO PLACE AND IS WELL SEATED ONTO THE MALE GAS NIPPLE BEFORE APPLYING ANY CO2 GAS PRESSURE! FAILURE TO INSTALL CORRECTLY CAN AND WILL RESULT IN SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE!
DO NOT UNPLUG THE QUICK-DISCONNECT FITTINGS WITHOUT FIRST TURNING OFF THE CO2 GAS SUPPLY AND RELIEVING ANY GAS PRESSURE IN THE LINE BY ACTUATING THE CARBONATION BUTTON ON YOUR SODA MACHINE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS, O-RING LOSS, DAMAGE, OR BODILY HARM! If you did not follow the above instructions and blew-out the quick-disconnect o-ring, here is a photo that shows you where to replace it: If you found the o-ring, clean it and lubricate it with a food grade non toxic oil (PAM works fine); carefully fold the o-ring and insert back into the quick-disconnect's front opening; push and nudge the o-ring back in to place in the interior groove as shown with the arrows above. If you did not find your o-ring, you can purchase replacements on our ordering page. INSTALLATION Screw the Adapter into the opening on your Soda Machine where your old Carbonator hooked up. (Figure "C"). The rest of the installation is very straight forward, just attach the CO2 Tank fitting to either a Paintball Tank for PB or PBWG option (Figure "E" and "F"), or a Commercial CO2 Tank with CGA-320 fitting if ordered with the CGA or CGAWG option (Figure "D"). If you ordered a CGA optioned system, be sure to install the white sealing washer inside the large brass nut BEFORE tightening nut onto the CGA-320 Valve. WARNING Be sure to keep the Paintball Tank or other CO2 Tank in a standing VERTICAL position! Laying it down will dispense Liquid CO2 which will not work and will cause your soda machine to malfunction or become irreparably damaged. Regardless of options or configuration, DO NOT turn on the CO2 Gas until ALL CONNECTIONS are verified as being secure. DO NOT turn on CO2 Gas real fast, open valve SLOWLY so that any leaks or improperly seated connections can be detected and corrected. After the rest of the connections are made, use your Soda Machine like you normally do. Once installed, if you need to take any of it apart, be sure to TURN OFF the CO2 Source Tank and bleed any gas in the line by pressing the Fizz Button on your Soda Machine. You will hear the Gas escaping until it bleeds out. Failure to do this can blow O-Rings and cause bodily harm. CO2 Tank Levels If you ordered a FreedomOne+ with a CO2 Tank Pressure Gauge (PBWG or CGAWG options), please beware of the following indications:
Pressure is indicated as "psi" (pounds per square inch), and will vary depending on the amount of liquid CO2 left in the bottom of the CO2 Tank and as a function of the ambient temperature of the room. Operating your Soda Machine with less than 400 psi will NOT yield a properly carbonated drink and will be noticeable by having to press the Carbonate Button on the machine many more times than normal. With continued use and experience you will learn how to schedule CO2 refills and swap out tanks accordingly. Tank size has no bearing on the pressure indication. For more technical information please check our Tech Support User Forum and look at our online Graph showing the correlation of CO2 Temperature Vs Pressure and the Tank's Filled Capacity. SUGGESTION WHEN NOT IN USE, TURN OFF THE CO2 FROM YOUR TANK. THIS WILL SAVE YOUR HIGH PRESSURE CO2 GAS FROM EMPTYING IN CASE OF ANY ACCIDENTAL LEAK OR SEAL FAILURE. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 100% PERFECT SEAL. TURNING THE TANK OFF IS NOT MANDATORY BUT LEAKS CAN OCCUR.
