STOP! DO NOT turn-on the CO2 Gas on your Donor Tank! If you have a CO2Dapter-II with CGA option like Figure "A", install the CO2Dapter-II onto your Donor Tank as shown in Figure "D". DO NOT forget to install the Flat Sealing Washer inside the Brass Nut that attaches to your Donor Tank's CGA-320 Valve then follow the below filling instructions. If you have a CO2Dapter-II like Figure "B", then proceed to hook up to the appropriate Customer provided hose, fittings or equipment, then follow the below filling instructions. Be sure to use ONLY high pressure rated fittings and hoses on any custom project. If you have a CO2Dapter-II with PBFILL option like Figure "C", then follow the below filling instructions with your Paintball Tank CO2 Gas Supplier or Refill Store location. NOTE: CO2Dapter-II with PBFILL option like Figure "C" requires that YOU, the Customer, find a Paintball Tank CO2 Gas refiller or store that is willing to refill your Soda-Club / Sodastream Carbonator Tanks BEFORE purchasing our products. NOT ALL Paintball Tank refillers are willing to refill Soda-Club / Sodastream Carbonator Tanks due to a misinformed perception that it is illegal to do so. To help in this process and avoid unwarranted concerns, it is suggested that you remove the plastic labels from your tanks PRIOR to having them refilled. This is ONLY a suggestion and YOU are solely responsible for said actions. Additionally, since Soda-Club / Sodastream factory Carbonator Tanks have a proprietary Booby-Trapped valve that is nearly impossible to refill, we STRONGLY suggest that you purchase our FreedomValve product and replace them. Please DO NOT ask for technical support or complain if you cannot find a Paintball Store that will refill these for you, that is why we STRONGLY suggest you do your homework FIRST, prior to purchasing. Due to the nature of this product there are absolutely NO RETURNS. To
understand how the CO2Dapter-II with PBFILL
works, please examine the adapter, youll see that the black paintball end has a
clean hole through it and it does not have a center pin like a regular paintball tank. The reason is that there is no need for it since
the pin which shuts flow on/off is already inside the brass valve that is
installed on the Carbonator tank. Also, not
having that center pin in the paintball end makes filling go faster. Now, look at the gold end of the CO2Dapter-II and youll see a silver center pin. That pin presses in the center pin on the brass Carbonator valve when the adapter is fully screwed on tight, thereby opening the internal valve and allowing the liquid CO2 to free-flow into your tank. In summary, when the CO2Dapter-II is fully screwed on tight onto an empty carbonator tank, the tank now has a clear, open, and unobstructed opening to the outside world. Your Paintball refill shop/person needs to keep his refill station connected to the CO2Dapter-II even after the tank is filled so that the CO2 does NOT escape back out of it. However, in order to unscrew the CO2Dapter-II, he must FIRST turn off the main CO2 Supply Tank. In other words, NEVER disconnect the fill station until all Carbonator tanks have been filled. If
the above procedure is not followed, all CO2 that has been put into the Carbonator will
leak out again when he removes his filling equipment BEFORE he unscrews the CO2Dapter-II
from the now FULL tank. As he unscrews the adapter
from the filled tank, the center pin stops pressing in the valve, and the CO2 stays in the
tank as it is supposed to.
DISCONNECTION UNDER PRESSURE CAN AND WILL RESULT IN SERIOUS BODILY HARM AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE O-RING SEAL INSIDE THE QUICK-DISCONNECT FITTING OR SURROUNDING ITEMS OR EQUIPMENT! ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION! BEFORE attempting to refill any tanks, be sure you have PURGED all excess CO2 Gas from the tank by pressing in the valve with a blunt (not sharp) object until ALL CO2 escapes and tank is empty (see below):
Be sure to FREEZE your empty tank(s) for at least TWO HOURS prior to filling. This will ensure a more complete refill. DO NOT turn on the CO2 Gas on your Donor Tank yet! Once the CO2Dapter-II is screwed on to the Donor Tank, you are now ready to screw on the ALCO2JET empty Carbonator for a fill-up. Take your chilled and empty ALCO2JET Carbonator Tank from the
freezer and weigh it on a scale. We have found that with bathroom scales, it's best to
weigh yourself, then weigh yourself holding the bottle, and subtract the difference. The
difference is the true weight of the empty Carbonator Tank. Your goal is to fill the Tank
with either 33oz of CO2 for the 110L, or 14.5oz of CO2 for the 60L. Typical fills
vary but are usually 60-80% of rated Carbonator Tank capacity, DO NOT expect a 100% full
refill, it is not possible unless you spend THOUSANDS of dollars on high-end refill
equipment like the factory. In the end, NEVER EXCEED THE BOTTLE CAPACITY BY WEIGHT! NEVER fill your ALCO2JET Carbonator Tank in an INVERTED (Upside Down) or HORIZONTAL position. Always fill the Carbonator UPRIGHT (Brass Valve UP). When screwing on or unscrewing the CO2Dapter-II Fill Head from the Carbonator Tank, NEVER do so with the tank in a horizontal position. If you do, LIQUID CO2 will exit causing the CO2Dapter-II inner seal to FREEZE and CRACK causing permanent damage to it and requiring that you purchase a replacement. Cracked or Damaged Seals are NOT covered under warranty! IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE ALCO2JET CARBONATOR TANK, PLEASE ALLOW 5 MINUTES BETWEEN REFILLS SO THAT THE CO2DAPTER-II FILL HEAD CAN RETURN TO ROOM TEMPERATURE AND THE VALVE SEAL CAN DO ITS JOB OF SEALING DURING THE REFILL PROCESS. SCREWING ON A FROZEN CO2DAPTER-II CAN CAUSE THE INNER SEAL TO CRACK AND BE PERMANENTLY DESTROYED. CRACKED OR DAMAGED SEALS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! You can now turn on the CO2 Gas Valve ON and start the fill process until you stop hearing any gurgling or fill noise coming from the Carbonator Tank. Be sure to check for any leaks in the fittings or Brass Nut that connects the adapter to your Donor Tank. Tighten as needed. NOTE: Ideally, a good refill will take place if you start with a cold or frozen EMPTY ALCO2JET bottle that has all the CO2 emptied (allow all hissing to stop). Doing this will allow the maximum LIQUID CO2 capacity into the bottle and not allow the non-liquid "Gas" to occupy valuable space. Remember, the manufacturer has deliberately fitted the Carbonator Tank with a proprietary "Booby-Trapped" valve that makes filling harder so you can keep paying them $30+ Dollars per fill. If this Booby-Trap Anti-Refill feature kicks in, you will experience an inability to refill and you will need to purchase our 100% Compatible FreedomValve which replaces the ALCO2JET Valve with our Non-Booby-Trapped Valve. If you are using the stock factory booby-trapped valves, BE PATIENT, Experiment, this will take a few tries until you get the hang of sensing the booby-trapped "Valve Opening" noise Vs "Valve Shutting Noise" (small click or ping noise). Try opening the Donor Tank Valve very slowly and only in minute increments while you listen for either the booby-trap activation or the gurgling of a successful refill. CAUTION! Until you determine that you are indeed successfully filling the bottle, keep weighing it during the fill process until you are comfortable with the procedure. NOTE: If the Carbonator Valve is an original Soda-Club / Sodastream Valve, ALWAYS fill SLOWLY until just BEFORE you hear a "click" noise coming from the valve. If you hear this it means the trap is activated and you'll need to re-start the fill. See Proprietary Valve, Figure "E".
NOTE: Refill capacities for Soda-Club / Sodastream Carbonators are 14.5oz for the 60L (small skinny tank), and 33oz for the 110L (large tank). However, you will never be able to fill 100% to those capacities due to physics and CO2 properties. We have covered this quite extensively in our User Support Forum in the Technical Support area. Please stop by and read the articles, they will help you greatly. If your stock Soda-Club / Sodastream Valve is very sensitive and keeps you from refilling, you may need to opt for our FreedomValve replacement Carbonator Valve. This is our very own Valve that we designed WITHOUT Soda-Club's anti-refill trap. It will allow for faster, fuller, and uncomplicated-complicated refills of your Carbonator Tanks. NEVER NEVER NEVER overfill or exceed the tank's
rated capacity in ounces!
